A semi tractor-trailer that ran off the overlook on Wolf Creek Pass early Tuesday morning resulted in one fatality, with another possible.

Officials have still not located the second possible occupant of the vehicle.

The accident did kill one occupant, Colorado State Patrol Master Trooper Doug Wiersma confirmed.

According to a CSP incident report, the semi was westbound on U.S. 160 when it ran off the overlook and crashed into the side of the mountain at about 4:30 a.m.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Wiersma reported that the vehicle had not yet been recovered, though the body of the known occupant was recovered.

That occupant is listed as Raul Marquez, 41, of West Palm Beach, Fla.

A search is continuing in the area of the crash, however, after the semi’s company reported that there were two occupants in the vehicle, Wiersma reported.
