Personnel from the Archuleta County Sheriff’s Department are seeking information regarding an incident that caused more than $100,000 worth of damage to a portion of the golf course.

On Sept. 5, Cpl. Alvin Schaaf responded to a complaint at Pagosa Springs Golf Club regarding damage to the course caused by two vehicles doing donuts on the grass, reported Undersheriff Tonya Hamilton.

In an email to SUN staff, Hamilton reported that the damage could have been caused by “possibly a Jeep, SUV, a Razor or small UTV.”

The two vehicles, she indicated, drove on the golf course and caused extensive damage to the greens and fairway at hole 2 and hole 5 near Northlake Avenue and Holiday Avenue.
