As the workforce of Archuleta County continues to struggle with a lack of affordable housing, plans for yet another high-end condominium development have been submitted and approved.
Property owner Bryon Lemons took a seat at the presenter’s table in front of the town’s design review board Tuesday evening, but it was architect Brad Ash who did most of the presenting, while Town Planner James Dickhoff operated the slide show for the audience. The board had hard copies of the development plans in front of them.
The Pagosa Junction Condos (not to be confused with the community of Pagosa Junction) will contain eight units. The units on the ground level will occupy 7,552 square feet, while the units on the upper level will take up 9,448. The plans also included a 7,820-square-foot covered parking garage beneath the upper level. The entire building will be 24,820 square feet.
