The Pagosa Ranger District is partnering with the Weminuche Audubon Society this summer to offer the public a series of birding walks in and around the San Juan National Forest.
“Birding with Ben,” the third and the last in the series, will be at Spiler Canyon on Thursday, Aug. 13, from 7 to 11 a.m.
There’s no need to sign up; just show up. Meeting location will be at the Archuleta County Fairgrounds at 7 a.m. The fairgrounds are located one-eighth of a mile south on U.S. 84 on the left — the first left turn. Please park near the county Extension building. We will be carpooling out to Spiler Canyon shortly after 7 a.m. due to limited parking near Spiler Canyon.
