The Pirate Plunge Mud Run returns to Pagosa Springs this Saturday, July 25, at 10 a.m. The event will be held at Yamaguchi Park and Pirate Hill, near the high school.

The Pirate Plunge is a 5k designed for all athletic abilities. It is not a race in the traditional sense, or timed in any way. Rather, it is an obstacles course designed to push you out of your comfort zone and help you get down and dirty with friends and family.

The obstacle course includes an arctic plunge, scaling Jacob’s Ladder, flying down a water side into the mud pit below and many more.

In addition to the mud run, the event will host a variety of other activities, including a coed doubles grass volleyball tournament and a cornhole tournament.
