Dwayne Wendle Hibbard was born Nov. 19, 1931, in San Francisco to Edwin Wendell and Louise Ragne Hibbard. He passed peacefully with his four children by his side on May 26, 2015, in Pagosa Springs, Colo. He was the third of five children.On Dec. 1,1948, Dwayne enlisted and served in the Navy, National Guard and then as a reserve in the Army of the United States and was honorably discharged on the March 8, 1957. He married and had four children. He loved to hunt, fish and bowl, and sponsor his children’s pee-wee bowling and baseball teams. He was an honest businessman who was kind, optimistic and always gave you a big smile with a big heart and utmost respect. He was married to the mother of his children for 16 years and his second wife for over 20 years, who he was faithfully with until her passing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but especially his surviving four children, step-son, four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
