Notice of Public Hearing

Board of County Commissioners

Archuleta County, Colorado

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to CRS 30-28-116 that the Board of County Commissioners of Archuleta County, Colorado, will hold a public hearing to consider revisions to the Archuleta County Land Use Regulations. These proposed changes are to Sections 10 – Floodplain Regulations and 11 – Definitions. The language proposed to be adopted is available for review at the County Development Services – Planning Department, 264-1390 or online at www.archuletacounty.org.

The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at 1:30PM in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room at 398 Lewis St., Pagosa Springs, Colorado, at which time all interested parties will be heard. Written comments may also be submitted to Archuleta County Development Services, P.O. Box 1507, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147, prior to the public hearing.

ADVERTISEMENT TO BID

Sealed bids will be received by the Pagosa Area Water and Sanitation District (District), 100 Lyn Avenue, P.O. Drawer 4610, Pagosa Springs, Colorado 81147, until 10:00 a.m. on July 30, 2015. Bids received after this time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.

At 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2015 the bid opening shall be held at the District Conference Room at 100 Lyn Avenue, Pagosa Springs, Colorado; all Bids that have been duly received will be opened publicly and read aloud. All interested parties are invited to attend. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive irregularities therein, and all Bidders shall agree that such rejection shall be without liability on the part of the District for any damage or claim brought by any Bidder because of such rejections, nor shall the Bidders seek any recourse of any kind against the District because of such rejections. The filing of any Bid in response to this invitation shall constitute an agreement of the Bidder to these conditions.

The work to be performed generally includes, but may not be limited the following components: Granular Activated Carbon change including, a) providing air for slurry/pneumatic transfer (15psi@80-100 scfm), b) removal of spent carbon via slurry, c) transportation and legal disposal of spent carbon and d) loading of fresh carbon. The project includes all associated materials, equipment and appurtenances required for a completely functioning system.

BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT HEARING ON July 21, 2015

SourceGas Distribution LLC, is requesting a Variance from Sections 27.1.7.3 and 27.1.7.4 of the Road and Bridge Design Standards and section 5.4.5.4 of the Archuleta County Land Use Regulations requiring paving of the proposed access and parking lot at 520 Cloman Blvd. In addition the applicant is requesting a variance to the 50’ corner road side setback to 25’ for a purposed storage / welding shop building to be built in the future.

INVITATION TO BID

Separate sealed BIDS for the Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership Project – Phase 1 will be received by the Town of Pagosa Springs at the office of Davis Engineering Service, Inc. located at 188 South 8th Street, P.O. Box 1208, Pagosa Springs, Colorado 81147, until 2:00 P.M. local time on July 23, 2015, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The project consists of constructing approximately 6,200 square feet of concrete hardscape, and approximately 170 linear feet of concrete retaining walls ranging from 2’ to 6’ high, located at Centennial Park just south of the County courthouse. Contingent on the budget and bids received the project could also include approximately 250 linear feet of concrete landscaping walls. The project will include clearing & grubbing the proposed construction prism, excavation, embankment, grading & preparation of the subgrade, drainage structures, aggregate base course placement, rebar reinforced concrete sidewalk and retaining wall construction, and utility placement including; electric, potable water, geothermally heated water (supply & return), and raw irrigation water.

Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained on or after July 6, 2015, at the office of Davis Engineering Service, Inc. located at the address mentioned above, upon payment of $60.00 for each set. No refund will be made for returned copies.

A mandatory pre-bid conference and inspection trip for prospective Bidders will be held at the office of Davis Engineering Service, Inc. (phone number (970) 264-5055), located at the address mentioned above, at 2:00 P.M. local time on July 14, 2015.
