Beginning Monday, June 8, Archuleta County’s Mountain Express Transit system began implementing a new fixed-route system that will run Mondays through Fridays.
The interim bus schedule, which is subject to change, will run a loop that includes 30 stops split between both uptown and downtown, with six stops made at each location each day — three in the morning and three in the afternoon.
Too, the system will incorporate a paratransit service for people unable to reach a bus stop or with medical issues that prevent them from using the fixed-route system.
