Town, county help school district save thousands

The school district, town and county have now all signed off on a project that is slated to save the school district thousands of dollars per month — allowing the school to use excess fibers in the local governmental fiber optic network for Internet capabilities.

The move, which was first approved by the Archuleta School District Board of Education on May 12, was then sent to the Town of Pagosa Springs and Archuleta County in the form of an intergovernmental agreement (IGA).
