PAWSD sees results of fixed leak

The April water loss update for the Pagosa Area Water and Sanitation District (PAWSD) presented last week showed that the district’s total water loss fell to nearly half of the prior month.

Much of that improvement is contributed to a significant water break that was discovered and repaired near North Pagosa Boulevard, just below the Village Lake dam.

“As you can see, the water loss has gone down quite significantly,” Interim District Manager Renee Lewis told the PAWSD board during a May 21 work session.

More specifically, Lewis highlighted a difference in the adjusted nonrevenue gallons lost per minute, with that figure dropping from 337 gallons per minute in March to 258 gallons per minute in April.
