INVITATION TO BID

Separate sealed BIDS for the Trujillo Road (CR 500) Resurfacing Project will be received by Archuleta County, Colorado at the office of Davis Engineering Service, Inc. located at 188 South 8th Street, P.O. Box 1208, Pagosa Springs, Colorado 81147, until 2:00 P.M. local time on June 11, 2015, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The project involves resurfacing of approximately 1.64 miles of roadway, with nearly 0.36 miles within the Town of Pagosa Springs, and the remaining 1.28 miles in Archuleta County. The project will generally maintain the existing horizontal and vertical alignment, primarily consisting of gravel supplementation, pulverization, reshaping, compacting, and asphalt paving. There is some full road section construction required at each end to match existing facilities. The work includes, but is not limited to pulverization, excavation, embankment, gravel placement, asphalt paving, drainage structure replacement, erosion control, pavement marking, traffic control, and other items typically associated with road construction.

Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS and PLANS may be obtained on or after June 1, 2015, at the office of Davis Engineering Service, Inc. located at the address mentioned above, upon payment of $100.00 for each set. No refund will be made for returned copies.

A mandatory pre-bid conference and inspection trip for prospective Bidders will be held at the office of Davis Engineering Service, Inc. (phone number (970) 264-5055), located at the address mentioned above, at 2:00 P.M. local time on June 4, 2015.

The Town planning Department has received an Application for a Lot Consolidation of Lots 6 & 7 in the Paradise Mesa Subdivision. As part of the proposed Lot Consolidation, the interior perimeter Public Utility Easements are being requested to be Vacated (There are no installed public utilities within the easements requested for vacation). Since the public utility easements were dedicated for public utilities recognized by the Town of Pagosa Springs as recorded on a plat # 441A with reception #1996006775 in the records of the Clerk and Recorder of Archuleta County, the public utility easements require vacation by way of public hearings and ordinance.

The Town Planning Commission will consider making a recommendation to Town Council regarding the “Vacation of Public Utility Easements”, at a Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at 5:30pm in Town Hall.

The Town Council will consider the first reading of an Ordinance for the proposed “Vacation of Public Utility Easements” at Public Hearings scheduled on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 5pm and Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 5pm in Town Hall.

Verbal Public comments will be accepted at each scheduled Public Hearing. Written Public comments should be received by the Town Planning Department, 8 days prior to each scheduled public hearing, to ensure written comments are included in the board packets that are sent out 7 days prior to each scheduled public hearing.
