The Pagosa Springs Lady Pirates chalked up one more soccer victory this week, sinking the Center Vikings by a score of 4-1.

“We played like we were just on spring break,” coach Lindsey Kurt-Mason laughed during a phone conversation with SUN staff after the Tuesday evening game. “We were on our heels most of the game.”

The Vikings scored the first goal of the match 10 minutes into the game.

“We just weren’t playing as well as we should,” the coach continued, “but eventually we started picking it up.”
