Southwest Organization for Sustainability planning Earth Week celebration

Here we are as individuals, as groups, as a nation and as a world community planning for the 45th Earth Day anniversary. This year, Earth Day Network (founded by organizers of the first Earth Day in 1970) is working with over 22,000 partners in 192 countries, mobilizing people across the globe for the planet.

Southwest Organization for Sustainability (SOS) is a partner in that effort and, for the second year, is expanding the Earth Day celebration into an Earth Day Week celebration and is inviting the community to participate. Read on to discover how we are doing that, but, first, a word about how Earth Day was born and what has been accomplished since the first one.
