Our Medicare volunteers come in on Mondays from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. to help you with your Medicare questions. Please call 264-0502 to schedule an appointment.
We now have a Caregivers Material Aid Grant available. The grant will pay up to $500 towards hearing aids, glasses, dentures, bridges, and PERS (personal emergency response system) equipment, such as Lifeline.

Tax preparation
The Durango-La Plata Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program returned this year to prepare 2014 tax returns for seniors.
March 7 and April 4 were successful days, with nine VITA volunteers assisting our seniors with their tax returns.
