Gene Henry Richey, known as Geno to all, was born Oct. 26, 1948. He went home to his maker March 10, 2015.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Mann Richey; son, LeVon N. Morris; daughter, Charity Vangrifft; grandson, Trintin Morris; and sisters, Vickey and Tammy, from his hometown of Eureka, Calif.
After he graduated Eureka High, he went into the Marines from Eureka, Calif.
Being a longtime resident of Pagosa Springs, he will be missed by family and friends.
A military service was held on Monday, March 26, at Hilltop Cemetery in Pagosa Springs. Those that wish to pay their respects can visit Plot 5, Lot 19, West 1/2, in Block No. 15, at Hilltop Cemetery.
