Pirates marooned in season opener, head for Cortez Tourney


The Pagosa Springs High School Pirate baseball team’s first game of the season was not only delayed due to field conditions, but, when it was played, didn’t go quite as well as the team had hoped.

The Pirates were originally scheduled to play the game in Salida on Saturday, March 6, but instead waited until Monday, March 9, in order to allow some of the snow on the field to melt.
