Pirates notch overtime victory, set sights on postseason

The Pagosa Springs High School Pirate basketball team handed the Alamosa Mean Moose their only league loss of the season in overtime last week, at the same time securing a No. 2 seeding going into the league tournament this weekend.

With their 51-48 overtime victory over the Mean Moose Thursday, Feb. 19, the Pirates are 5-3 heading into this weekend’s Intermountain League Tournament, which will be held in Pagosa.
