The Pagosa Springs High School Pirates produced mixed results during last week’s boys’ basketball action, beating the Cortez Panthers on Jan. 14, but then losing to the Monte Vista Pirates on Jan. 16 and the Sanford Indians on Jan. 20.

First, the Pirates hit the road last Wednesday to take on the 4A Panthers, and even though they had the home-court advantage, the Panthers were unable to prevail.
