In Loving memory — Darin Rome, 7/3/65 to 11/13/11

Three years ago today, our community lost an amazing man, a man by the name of Darin Andrew Rome.

In his passing, he left us with some great memories and love in our hearts. He was an amazing husband, father, son, musician, friend and community member, as well as an icon to look up to. He went above and beyond for a great number of people and never asked for or expected anything in return.

He was a hardworking, driven and kind man with a very outgoing personality and sense of humor that could put a smile on anyone’s face. As a lot of local people know, he was a lineman and serviceman for LPEA and he was constantly donating his time on the side to do community fundraisers and do events to raise money for various groups in the community in need.

His real passion, though, was music; he was an extremely talented drummer, guitarist, singer and songwriter. His music filled people’s hearts with joy. He could play just about anything anyone wanted to hear from rock and roll to country and everything in between.

He had a heart big enough for all of us and his ability to make people laugh will be greatly missed by many.

Darin Rome, you were an amazing man, husband, father, son, friend, musician and leader and you left us all with some great memories and great actions to look up to. We miss you every day.

With love, your family.
