Special to The PREVIEW

Are you interested in a great way to enjoy a meal in a local restaurant and help some terrific organizations at the same time?

Every time you use a United Way Dining Certificate, you are accomplishing both, at no added cost to you. Dining certificates are sold for $20 and can be redeemed at any of 28 local restaurants for the full value of $20. These restaurants generously donate $4 to the local United Way partners for every certificate redeemed.

Purchasers can enjoy a great meal and know that they are contributing to the wonderful work of the Archuleta County Victim Assistance Program, the Red Cross, Seeds of Learning, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Axis Health, San Juan Basin Area Agency on Aging, Southwest Conservation Corps, Volunteers of America, Housing Solutions for the Southwest, Pagosa Outreach Connection and our local Girl Scouts. All money raised through the dining certificate program goes directly to these organizations to provide support for Archuleta County residents.

United Way Dining Certificates are on sale at the Chamber of Commerce, the Ross Aragon Community Center and the Pagosa Lakes Property Owners Association Recreation Center, as well as through all local United Way partner agencies. If these options are not convenient, please call 731-0038 to purchase certificates, or go to the Southwest Colorado United Way website, www.unitedway-swco.org. Certificates are valid until March 31, 2015.
