Back in the day, Riverview Amusement Park in Chicago was the place to go and have fun. Last Tuesday, a number of local senior golfers frequented its namesake, Riverview Golf Course in Kirtland, N.M., to have fun.
This was the first day of a Northern New Mexico Senior Men’s Golf Association tournament. On this day, multiple players were successful, with Jim Fluharty leading the way with a sizzling 79 in a most competitive First Flight. Other winners were: in the Fourth Flight, First Gross (88) Ken Bailey, and Closest to the Pin on Hole No. 12, Ken Bailey.
The second day of the tournament was held in Farmington, N.M., at Pinon Hills Golf Course. The number of local winners more than doubled from the previous day.
