It seems hard to believe another year has gone by and we are busy preparing for the sixth annual Car Show at Pagosa.

The Chamber of Commerce is pleased to host this incredible event. This year, there are a few additions and changes to the show, including a glass repair stand from Auto glass guru.

On Friday evening, May 16, we invite all of Pagosa Springs to join us at Party in the Park, held at Town Park athletic field, featuring live music by the Pawn Shop Playboys and great food.

Bring your lawn chairs and a camera and enjoy an evening under the stars. The party begins at 5 p.m.; there is no admission charge.

On Saturday, May 17, will be the Show and Shine on Lewis Street beginning at 9 a.m. We expect over 175 cars, trucks and motorcycles this year. Bring the family and enjoy lunch. Live music will be by The Killens.

The Colorado State Patrol rollover simulator will again be there, along with some great fire protection and fire prevention demonstrations.

Trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m., followed by a cruise.

The participants will leave Lewis Street, heading west on U.S. 160 to uptown Pagosa. They will “cruise” to North Pagosa Boulevard, then to Bastille Drive, where we are doing a small aftershow for our friends at the Pine Ridge Extended Care Center. After a brief visit at Pine Ridge, we will end the afternoon at Pagosa Brewing Co.

The weekend does not end there. On Sunday morning, May 18, we will meet at 9 a.m. for coffee and breakfast at Nello’s Bistro.
