Special to The PREVIEW
At the gate, ready to fly. The Santa Fe Opera Spring Tour is on its way to Pagosa Springs. A free public concert will be held at the Pagosa Springs High School, Tuesday, April 29, at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
After a full day of working with the students at the high school, the troupe will present a public performance in the evening of an original short musical theater piece. This piece, “True North,” which features a mix of popular and classical styles, was conceived and composed to introduce young (and not-so-young) people to the charm and inventiveness of the music and language that make up the intriguing world of opera. The event is free and open to the public, although donations may be made at the door. All profits will support the music program at the high school.
So, come join in this festive evening, enjoy the super talents of these young artists, support our Pagosa school program — and have a grand time.
