The Pagosa Nordic Club is hosting the third annual Pagosa Nordic Spring Quad Challenge on Sunday, March 2. Participants can race as a solo racer or in teams of up to four.
The first leg is a 10 km freestyle X-C ski (classic ski or skate ski) at the West Fork Nordic ski trail, then a 5 km road run from the West Fork trail to the chain-up station at the base of Wolf Creek Pass, where racers will begin a 22 km road bike back to town and finish with a 1/2 km swim at The Springs Resort Pool.
This has been one of Pagosa Nordic’s most popular races during the winter. Registration and mandatory pre-race meeting will be held at the Chamber of Commerce building, 7-7:45 a.m. before racers head out to the West Fork Nordic ski trail for the race start at 9 a.m.
