Special to The PREVIEW

The annual Humane Society Chocolate Auction and dinner will be held on Saturday, March 22, at the Pagosa Springs Youth Center. This popular event raises funds for the day-to-day operating expenses of the animal shelter by auctioning decadent chocolate desserts created by local chefs, caterers, candy stores, restaurants and creative bakers. It is truly one sweet evening.

Last year’s Chocolate Auction was a resounding success, featuring over 30 marvelous chocolate-themed creations. The auction portion of the evening will be preceded by a seated dinner, and the event is open to the general public with the purchase of a ticket for admission.

The Humane Society of Pagosa Springs does not receive funding from any national organizations such as the Humane Society of the United States, American Humane, the ASPCA or United Way. The animal shelter relies on revenue from private donations, the Humane Society thrift store, and fundraisers such as the Chocolate Auction.

Please mark your calendars for March 22 and plan to attend a truly fun event for a great cause. Watch for more details in future issues of The Pagosa Springs SUN.
