In an hour-long work session last Thursday, Jan. 23, the Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners heard comments from supporters and opponents of a series of Liberty Zone petitions submitted to Archuleta County in recent months.
Eleven petitions were submitted to County Clerk and Recorder June Madrid on Nov. 26, with those petitions considered by the BoCC at a mid-December meeting. At that meeting, the board elected to hold a work session on the topic, with that work session held Jan. 23.
