Patriotic quilts are the theme of the upcoming quilt display at the San Juan Historical Society Museum. Quilters and quilt owners are invited to share their patriotic quilts with the museum for the enjoyment of guests during the summer of 2014.

Quilters and quilt owners, we need you.

Over the past few summers, the historical society museum has incorporated a themed quilt display into the museum. These displays have been widely popular with guests of the museum. So, again, a show will be offered this coming summer.

The name of this year’s display is “Star Spangled Quilts.” We are seeking patriotic-themed quilts from quilters and quilt owners.

Any quilt, from wall hanging to king size, would be considered for this display. Your quilt will need to be available to the museum from early April through September for the display. You will also need to allow a sleeve to be pinned to the quilt to hang for display. Information regarding who made the quilt, when it was made and any other information you are able to share will be needed for the quilt information book for visitors to view.

If you have a patriotic-themed quilt to share, please contact Shari Pierce at 946-3137 by March 1.
