Special to The SUN

The CSU Extension Office in Archuleta County is offering free radon awareness presentations dealing with testing and mitigations.

Presentations are scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, and 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the CSU Extension Office Archuleta County, 344 U.S. 84.

Free radon kits will be available at the presentations, while supplies last. To receive a free radon kit, participants must attend one of the presentations.

Surveys show that homes in most Colorado counties have the potential for radon levels above EPA’s (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency) recommended action level. The only way to know if your home has high levels of radon is to have it tested.

Attend one of these presentations and receive a free radon test kit.
