Jacob Christopher Matzdorf, 27, of Pagosa Springs, passed away Oct., 1, 2013.
Chris was born Aug. 19, 1986, in Tulsa, Okla. He is survived by his mother, Claudia Matzdorf, and sisters Hilary and Hannah. Chris was raised in Pagosa Springs, Colo., and graduated from Pagosa Springs High School in 2004. He moved to Stillwater, Okla., following high school graduation, where he attended Oklahoma State University. Chris was working as a hospital technician and had recently been accepted into scrub school.
Chris loved the Colorado Mountains and enjoyed returning home during his time off to ski, hike and enjoy the river.
Services took place in Tulsa, Okla., where Chris was living and surrounded by family.
