Howard Rachlin to judge Photo Club exhibit

Howard Rachlin returns to Pagosa to judge the Pagosa Springs Photo Club’s 10th annual Juried Print Exhibit.

Rachlin is responsible for founding the Durango Photo Club and served several terms as its president. He previously judged Pagosa photo competitions including the Archuleta County Fair, the Moonlight Books show and the Pagosa Arts Council exhibit, and presented seminars on photography. He currently manages the Photography Section at the La Plata County Fair.

Rachlin’s work has been published numerous times in Durango Magazine, the Durango Herald and Arts Perspective. His images have been used commercially in advertisements, brochures and websites and he has exhibited in many galleries and shows in the Four Corners area.

A reminder to all who are interested in entering their photographs in this juried exhibit: matted prints (unframed) are to be submitted for judging on Oct. 17 or 18 at the Pagosa Photography Studio and Gallery, located across the street from the courthouse.

The cost for each entry is $5, up to five images maximum. There are no categories or content guidelines.

Images will be judged solely on displayed merits.

Accepted work will be presented in the Pagosa Photography Studio and Gallery Nov. 21–Dec. 24.
