When attorneys clash, an ethics course results

A settlement may be in the books between Archuleta County Commissioner Clifford Lucero and Bill Hudson regarding a 2010 open records lawsuit, but questions concerning the conduct of Archuleta County Attorney Todd Starr during the course of the lawsuit remain.

Hudson’s lawsuit originally aimed to gain access to the recording of a Sept. 1, 2010, executive session in which the BoCC met with a variety of parties to deal with a joint push for a grant that would allow area governmental agencies to increase their broadband capabilities. Among those in attendance were representatives of an Internet company, the Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation, town, county and more.
