If you missed the September presentation about the Affordable Care Act, well, we’ve gotcha covered.
Renee Burch, health coverage guide, will return to the Senior Center Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 12:30 p.m. to make sure you know the scoop.
The Affordable Care Act is changing how health insurance works for all of us. Soon, virtually everyone in Colorado will be able to get health insurance, whatever their health history. Insurance will be available either through their employer, Medicaid, or on their own through a new marketplace called Connect for Health Colorado.
The best news of all is that new federal assistance will make it more affordable for you than ever before. Federal assistance will be available to small employers and individuals who meet income guidelines. In addition, Medicaid coverage will be available to an additional 160,000 people in Colorado.
You are not required to use this new marketplace, however, to get help paying for your insurance, you must apply for your insurance and the assistance through Connect for Health Colorado.
