Special to The SUN

On Monday, Sept. 9, Pagosa Springs High School will host a college fair in the high school commons from 6-7:30 p.m.

There will be representatives at the fair from more than 30 colleges, mainly from Colorado, with other states included.

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet the people face-to-face who can answer questions about programs, scholarships, entrance requirements, etc., at their schools.

It is a drop-in program: come for the whole time or stop by for 10 minutes.

Also, there will be a book on sale for only $5 at the program: “The 2013-2014 Colorado Collegiate Handbook.” This book has specific information about every college and university in Colorado and is a worthwhile investment.

The fair is open to any high school student and their parents. Home-schooled and privately-schooled students are welcome.

This year, the college representatives would like you to pre-register at GoToCollegeFairs.com. After you register, you can print a bar code that can be scanned. This will save you time filling out contact postcards at the fair; instead, the college representative can scan your bar code.
