The San Juan National Forest Pagosa Ranger District has again reduced the West Fork Fire Complex closure area.

As of Tuesday, July 16:

• The Turkey Creek, Fourmile and Anderson trails are now open, as is the Weminuche Wilderness west of the Turkey Creek Trail.

• The only remaining closure of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (No. 813) is between the Archuleta Creek Trail (No. 839) on the San Juan/Rio Grande National Forest boundary and the Williams Fork Lake Trail (No. 664) in the Weminuche Wilderness.

Other roads, trails and areas remain closed due to fire danger.

For information on these, go to  www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/sanjuan/alerts-notices.

Contact the Rio Grande National Forest on current emergency closure orders for areas east of the Continental Divide closed by the West Fork Complex.
