GOAL Academy holds graduation in Pueblo

On June 8, The Colorado State Fair Events Center in Pueblo, Colorado was the home to the GOAL Academy Class of 2013 Graduation Ceremony.

GOAL Academy hosted graduates and their families who travel from across the state to participate in this milestone ceremony.

The GOAL Academy Class of 2013 consisted of 522 graduates — 118 with college credit, six with associate degrees and 84 with Workforce Certificates. There were also seven National Honor Society members among the graduates.

GOAL Students representing six regions of Colorado addressed their peers, each sharing their story of success. Among these speakers was Bailey Bliss, of Pagosa Springs.

The keynote speaker was Lance Carl, director of student motivation from College in Colorado.

Karla Ash, GOAL Academy Director of Assessment and Compliance, presented Pagosa graduate Mikaela Marchand with a GOAL Academy $500 scholarship. This scholarship is awarded through the GOAL Academy employees who donate funds to the scholarship.

Pagosa members of the Class of 2013 are Bailey Erin Bliss, Wyatt Burns, Dion Walden Doan, Tyler Lindsey Fearon, DeAngelo Matthew Moses Guthrie, Brandon Raylin Lansing, Mikaela Elizabeth Marchand, LeeAnn Chantel, Margarita Phillips-Martin, Kaitlen Mae Richey, Alexander John Schultz, Donald George Stevens and Brenda Vera.
