Special to The PREVIEW
The last free introductory lesson this season on June 17 will be available to all who want to learn how to square dance.
If you’ve had some previous training and want to refresh your memory, or if you are a complete beginner, come to the PLPOA Clubhouse at 230 Port Ave. Lessons start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 7:30. All are welcome.
The High Country Squares will then offer ongoing classes every Monday night for a charge of $4 per adult, children 18 and under free of charge.
Club members will be present to help the learning process as “angels,” making the dancing fun for all newcomers to square dancing.
Don’t wait, as classes are closed after the first three lessons so everyone learns at the same level throughout the summer. This class series is offered once a year beginning in June and is ongoing until graduation, some time in the fall of 2013.
The summer schedule for club dancing is Mainstream and Plus dancing from 7:30 until 9:15 p.m. every Monday night at the PLPOA Clubhouse.
The High Country Squares offers weekly dances, regional dances and a wonderful sense of community for local and visiting dancers.
