On Sunday, May 12, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will hold a special Mother’s Day Remembrance Service,  presented by local UUs Anna O’Reilly, Deni Blaisch, Norma Buslepp, Windsor Chacey and Zoe Groulx.

Though Mother’s Day has been recognized in the United States since 1914 as an annual celebration of mothers, it has now become mainly a day of cards and flowers sent to mothers.  In contrast, this Sunday at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, we will honor mothers by a remembrance service, a brief look at the history of Mother’s Day, followed by a small group of individuals speaking about their mothers.

The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall.  The address is Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza.  Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign.  All are welcome.
