Petrox Resources, Inc. is currently requesting an aquifer exemption for an injection well, Tierra-Piedra 15-1, located in the Ignacio-Blanco field within the Cliffhouse and Menefee formations in southwest Archuleta County, near the Southern Ute Indian Reservation.
The purpose of the injection is to create a saltwater disposal well. Saltwater, oils and natural gases will be separated from oil production wells and the saltwater will be injected into the formations.
