On Friday, Feb. 22, the Pagosa Nordic Club will host a Sunset/Moonrise Soup and Chili X-C Ski Social at the Pagosa Springs Golf Course.

Join us at the golf course clubhouse parking lot between 4 and 7 p.m. and enjoy an easy cross-country ski or snowshoe under an incredible sunset and moonrise.

We meet back at the trailhead afterward to socialize next to a warm campfire with hot cocoa, soup, chili and s’mores.

This is a great, family-friendly activity. You can bring something to share, though it is not expected. We recommend bringing a headlamp or flashlight and that you dress warm. Please note that the indoor facilities will not be available for this event.

The Pagosa Nordic Club is a non-profit, 100-percent volunteer organization with a mission, “To enhance winter recreational opportunities in Pagosa Springs by maintaining accessible groomed winter trails for skate skiing, classic cross country skiing and snowshoeing for all ability levels and to encourage and promote the use of these winter trails through education, marketing and events.” The club relies on membership donations, sponsorships and trail use donations to cover operational expenses and capital equipment investments. To become a club member or to donate to the club, check PagosaNordic.Com for details.

Grab your skis and we will see you at the Sunset/Moonrise X-C Ski Social.
