It’s safe to predict that snow is in the forecast for today.

A winter storm warning is in effect until midnight, with the National Weather Service calling for 2 to 4 inches of snow during the day Monday in Pagosa Springs.

Another 1 to 2 inches is predicted for Monday night.

And, of course, when Pagosa Springs gets snow, Wolf Creek Pass likely does, too.

As of shortly after 9 a.m. Monday, Wolf Creek Ski Area reported 23 inches of snowfall in the past 24 hours, with 38 inches falling in the last 48 hours, bringing the year-to-date snowfall total to 234 inches at the ski area.
