Want snow? You might have to wait

    Want snow?

    You’re out of luck.

At least according to three different weather forecasts.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the National Weather Service and AccuWeather were both predicting a lack of moisture for Pagosa Springs over the next week, while The Weather Channel (TWC) offers a slight glimmer of hope in the form of a 30-percent chance of showers on Monday.

All three forecasts do agree on one thing — expect seasonal to above seasonal temperatures.

For Pagosa Springs, November’s average temperature is 49.7 degrees, while December drops to an average of 39.6 degrees.

Today’s temperature is forecast to be in the low to mid 50s, with all three forecasts betting on sunny or mostly sunny skies.

Friday looks to be the same temperature-wise, with some clouds and wind.

More of the same is called for this weekend, with temperatures dropping slightly. The NWS calls for highs near 55 for Saturday and Sunday, while AccuWeather calls for 51 degrees and TWC lands in the middle at 53 degrees.

Monday, temperatures are expected to drop, with forecasts ranging from 44 degrees to near 50. While TWC calls for a 30-percent chance for a few showers, AccuWeather calls for cold temps and periods of sun and NWS forecasts mostly sunny skies.

Much of the same is expected Tuesday — temperatures in the mid to upper 50s and sunny to partly cloudy skies.

In short, don’t hold your breath waiting for that snow.
