Library to unveil new online tools for job seekers

In recognition of Workforce Development Month, today, Sept. 25, the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment’s Rural Workforce Consortium, in partnership with the Colorado State Library, will hold a demonstration of its Virtual Workforce Center at the Library tool.

The Virtual Workforce Center, which debuted last September with a soft launch with workstations at 40 libraries in Colorado, now features virtual case management, training, document storage capabilities and much more.

Demonstrations begin at 11 a.m. and take place throughout the day at Ruby M. Sisson Memorial Library, 811 San Juan St.

A total of 46 libraries across Colorado are participating in the project through either dedicated workstations with virtual case management functionality (30 locations) or a workstation reserved in each library for jobs search activity only (16).
