The Church of Christ at 277 Lewis St. will host a Missions Weekend with Tony Keesee Sept. 15-16.
Tony spent five years in Australia with a mission team. He preaches at the Church of Christ in Mannford, Okla. Keesee holds a bachelor’s degree in Bible from Oklahoma Christian and a master’s degree in ministry from Harding Graduate School of Religion. He has been married for 25 years and he and his wife have two children.
The Missions Weekend will focus on the “how to” of missions.
Tony will present information on his mission experience and how to go about preparing and doing mission work.
The Missions Weekend will begin Saturday at 6 p.m. with a potluck dinner. Presentations on Saturday evening will include “My Journey to Australia” at 7 p.m. and “My Sojourn in Australia” at 8.
On Sunday, Tony will speak at 9:30 a.m. on “Looking back on the Journey,” at 10:30 on “Here Am I Send Me-Isaiah 6,” at 5 p.m. on “How Can I Be Involved in Missions?” and at 6 on “The Heart of Jesus.”
There will be time for questions following the presentations.
Anyone interested in learning more about mission work is invited to attend. There is no charge for the weekend.
