Youth baseball thanks

Wednesday night marked the close of this year’s youth baseball season, and the recreation department staff once again owes an immeasurable amount of thanks to all of the volunteer coaches and sponsors who contributed so generously to the program.

In the coach-pitch division, we recognize coaches Lisa Scott, Craig Vrazel, David Lucero, Matt Chavez, Matt Bowdridge, Torry Hessman, Darren Lewis, Anthony Doctor, Jon Haner, Fred Hampton and Kelly Miller.

In the 9-10 division, we give thanks to coaches Chris Erskine, Todd Miller, Jim Amato, Kurt Raymond, Scott Pierce, Adam Logan, Dan Schofield, Steve Schofield and Dan Cammack.

In 11-14 division, we credit coaches Tim Miller, Jerry Smith, Herman Gonzales, Jim Amato, Bill and Lori Manzanares, Jimmy Henderson, Rich Goebel and Keith Book.

We also gratefully acknowledge the following sponsors, whose contributions greatly offset the costs associated with administering our youth programs: Scott Strategic Investments, Pagosa Feed and Nursery Company, DR Builders LLC, Area Best Heating and Air, Design A Sign, Honda Hauls LLC, Allstate Insurance-The Hill Agency, Ole Miner’s Steakhouse, Monograms Plus and The Springs Resort.

In addition, we would like to thank all of the players and their parents and guardians for participating in this year’s program, juggling hectic schedules and taking the unexpected hurdles associated with youth sports programming in stride.

Thanks again to all of you for your continued sportsmanship, dedication and support.
