The San Juan Mountains Association, in conjunction with the U.S. Forest Service Pagosa Ranger District, will be hosting free summer geology hikes throughout the summer months.

These interpretive hikes, led and presented by Geologist Dave Bouquet, will be in the Piedra River Trail and Ice Caves Ridge area of the San Juan National Forest.

One of two hikes will be offered per month throughout the summer.

Preregistration is required and can be done through the San Juan Mountains Association’s website at sjma.org.
