Creation Care to hear about sustainability

Posted

By Sarah Riehm | Creation Care Pagosa

Creation Care Pagosa is a new organization dedicated to Christ-centered environmental stewardship. Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 in the fellowship hall of the Community United Methodist Church, at 434 Lewis St.

Oct. 26 has been designated as International Sustainability Day to raise awareness about the 17 sustainability goals set by the United Nations.

Laura Lunsford will present the program, and the group will focus on and discuss ways we can support these sustainability goals. For more information, visit https://sdgs.un.org/goals. If you have questions or would like to attend, please contact Lunsford at lunsford303@gmail.com. A free dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. by our volunteers, so please RSVP to Lunsford if you plan to attend.

On Nov. 30, Sarah Riehm will present a program on sustainable holidays. Learn practical ways to sustain the earth and retain your sanity during the holiday hubbub.

Creation Care is a group of dedicated Pagosans who meet to discuss and take action on environmental issues in our community and beyond. There are no dues, no bylaws, no corporate structure, no hidden fees. All are welcome. Please join us on Oct. 26.
