LASSO presents fourth annual Bling Fling

The members of LASSO know how much the ladies of Pagosa Springs like to shop local, so we’ve crafted another Bling Fling — only, this year, it’ll be holiday shopping.

The come-and-go venue will be available Saturday, Nov. 10, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Winslow on the Shire.  Three miles south on U.S. 84, look for a shopping extravaganza along with gourmet appetizers, fine wines and fabulous door prizes, all included in the $25 ticket price (ladies only, please, and children must be over 12 years of age).

The shopping options for ladies, men and children will be endless. Jewelry crafters will present their designs: Tina Rector, Sue Seemann, Patti Stewart, Catherine Frye and Jane Schur (Catwoman Creations), and Debra Leach Designs.  Artists and crafters Carol Schneider, Catherine Wagner, Donnette Cobb, Andie’s Undies, Leslie Kron and Dee Pitchon, as well as well-known local artist June Jurcak and the Art and Framing Center will offer their creations.  Our imaginative friends in the Pagosa Springs Special Talents class will have their current art on sale.   Local retailers The Hide Out, The Outfitter, Coyote Jane’s, Wildflower Floral and Gifts, and Sweets and Such will dazzle you with holiday gifts galore. There will also be hourly tours of the Winslow mansion.

The Bling Fling is an annual fund-raiser and “fun-raiser” event hosted by LASSO, Large Animal Support Southwest Organization, a recognized 501(C)(3) non-profit.  The all-volunteer organization is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of unwanted horses.  Many of the horses awaiting adoption are trained and used in equine-assisted therapy for local children and adults.  LASSO is the proud sponsor of the annual Special Olympics Horse Camp held each August.

Tickets for this fun-filled event are available at Coyote Jane’s (next to the Liberty Theatre) and Pagosa Feed and Nursery on Bastille Drive.

For more information, call 264-0095 or 264-9355.  Visit the LASSO website at for more information on the event and the organization.  Volunteers are most welcome.  See you at “Holiday Glitter and Glee.”
