Start working on your shopping list for Christmas, all upcoming birthdays, weddings and other occasions.
In just a couple of weeks you will be able to shop at the annual Holiday Bazaar in the Ross Aragon Community Center.
As always, it will take place on the first Saturday of November, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and this year will include even more shopping opportunities than in past years. So, if you’ve sometimes skipped, it thinking you’ve seen it all already, this is the year to come back.
On Nov. 3, 75 artists will be showing their creations in the booths. There will be over two dozen beautifully-wrapped gift baskets, as well as lots of other things in the silent auction. The Youth Center will man a diner, with yummy breakfast and lunch choices and there will be an amazing bake sale with everything from goodies to munch as you shop to specialty cakes you can freeze and bring out as your own at upcoming events.
Not only do you benefit by being able to do so much of your shopping in just one day and place, the community benefits when you shop at the Holiday Bazaar. The Youth Center Diner makes money for the center when you have breakfast and lunch with them. All proceeds from the bake sale go to the Ruby Sisson Memorial Library. The Morning Rotary, a group that does so much for Pagosa, will get $500 for their charities by setting up and taking down Bazaar structures. The Ross Aragon Community Center will get full rental for all the space that’s used. And Mountain View Homemakers Club, this year’s producer of the Bazaar, will use the money it raises from the silent auction and booth rental to benefit the many non-profits it helps each year.
So, circle Saturday, Nov. 3, on your calendar and plan to be at the community center 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Bring your lists and come on down. All your friends will be there.
