On Sunday, Oct. 14, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship service topic will be “Small Fish in the Big Apple,” presented by Anna Hershey.
Anna will be talking about her trip to New York City and her time in the “Open Jar Institute.” She will summarize the most important things that she took away from this experience for her personal and professional life.
There will be a description of what “Open Jar” means and what it promotes. Anecdotes will include encounters with Susan Stroman (Tony award winning choreographer and director of “The Producers”), John Kander (composer of “Chicago”), and Joanna Gleason (Tony award winning actress from “Into the Woods”).
Anna was very involved with the Pagosah UU Fellowship while she was growing up in Pagosa Springs. She followed her years here at our local high school with a degree from Northern Arizona University.
The children’s service is provided during the main service and centers on the Seven UU Principles. The main service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall. The address is Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire atation, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign. All are welcome.
