Auditions set for new Four Corners Youth Symphony

Greetings, orchestra enthusiasts.

It brings us great pleasure to announce the inception of the Four Corners Youth Symphony.

The newly-formed association will provide students in first through 12th grades the opportunity to participate in an advanced level ensemble that fosters quality musicianship and promotes excellence.

The symphonies:

• Four Corners Youth Symphony. Grades 7–12. Nathan Lambert, conductor. Auditions were held Monday, Aug. 27 in Nathan Lambert’s office, 218 Jones Hall, Fort Lewis College. Starting date: Every Monday, 6-8 p.m., in the FLC band room, beginning Sept. 3.

• Four Corners Youth Philharmonic. Grades 4–9. Lech Usinowicz, conductor. Auditions — Sept. 3, 4-5 p.m., FLC band room, Jones Hall, Fort Lewis College. Starting date: Every Monday, 4-6 p.m., in the FLC band room, beginning Sept. 10.

• Four Corners Youth Prep. Grades 1–5. Sharon Neufeld, conductor. Auditions will be held Sept. 3, 4-5 p.m., FLC band room, Jones Hall, Fort Lewis College. Starting date: Every Monday, 4-6 p.m. in the FLC band room, beginning Sept. 10.

Cost — $150 for the entire year. Installments of $75 per semester can be arranged.

The Winter Concert is scheduled for Dec. 3, the Spring Concert for April 1.
